ADDITIONAL EVENTS.

PEF Research Groups
The PEF IADR wishes to establish a research group structure, as operates at IADR.  This will facilitate future meeting programming, abstract reviewing, submission and selection of symposia, and foster further relations between colleagues throughout the region.  If you would like to participate in one of these groups, there will be group lunches for a number of embryonic research groups (mainly hosted by current BSDR groups) and you can register for a group lunch / business meeting.

SOCIAL EVENTS

Conference Party
The conference party will take place in the early evening of day one of the conference on Wednesday 10th September in the Queen Elizabeth II conference centre. This informal occasion will be an excellent opportunity to socialise with colleagues, will include a buffet and drinks, and will also include the presentation of divisional prizes.  Admission to the party is free to all registered delegates; you can also purchase additional tickets for accompanying persons .

Gala Dinner
The social highlight of the conference will be the gala dinner, which will take place in the magnificent surroundings of the Great Hall of London’s Natural History Museum on Thursday 11 September 2008.  The event will include a pre-dinner drinks reception, 3 course dinner and after dinner dancing to a live band.  Tickets for the gala dinner are very limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.

ACCOMMODATION

You can book a number of hotel options via the conference office on the online form when booking your conference place. Alternatively you may wish to book budget student accommodation at nearby Imperial College direct (please quote ‘PEF’ when booking to take advantage of the special rate). You may of course prefer to make your own accommodation arrangements through one of the many online sources.
